Set atop a prominent ridgeline in Rancho Santa Fe, Pinnacle House is conceived as a contemporary estate that blurs the boundary between architecture, landscape, and horizon. Positioned on 1.9 acres with panoramic views extending across rolling canyons to the Pacific Ocean, the residence is designed as a private retreat that celebrates Southern California’s climate, light, and indoor-outdoor way of living.

The 19,700-square-foot compound is organized as a collection of interconnected pavilions, anchored by a dramatic central living space. Floor-to-ceiling glazing, expansive overhangs, and a carefully curated material palette dissolve the distinction between interior and exterior, allowing the surrounding landscape to become an extension of the home itself. Throughout the day, skylights and clerestory glazing draw natural light deep into the interiors, creating spaces that feel open, luminous, and connected to the changing sky.

At the heart of the residence, a double-height great room overlooks an infinity-edge pool that appears to merge with the distant horizon. A sculptural staircase and open lower-level connection establish visual continuity throughout the home, while framing long-range views in every direction. Outdoor terraces, courtyards, and gathering spaces extend the living experience beyond the building envelope, transforming the property into a year-round destination for relaxation, entertainment, and wellness.

The estate includes nine bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a detached guest house, and an accessory dwelling unit. Amenities are thoughtfully integrated into the architectural composition, including a private wellness center, home theater, wine room, lounge, fitness facilities, and a full-size pickleball court. A dedicated 12-car display pavilion showcases the owner’s automobile collection beneath a large circular skylight, turning storage into an architectural experience.

Landscape and architecture work together to reinforce the sense of retreat. Reflecting pools, fire features, native planting, and expansive lawns soften the built form, while framing key views, and outdoor destinations across the site. The result is a residence that balances scale with serenity, offering the experience of a luxury resort, while remaining deeply connected to its natural setting.

Pinnacle House reimagines the modern California estate as a place of openness, wellness, and connection to the landscape, an elevated retreat where architecture is shaped as much by the horizon, as by the spaces it encloses.
